Great efforts have been made to fabricate these drains to a commercially durable standard so that the drains can be installed with extreme confidence in any application by beginners and experts alike. A few of the problems that were associated with the lesser quality products are thin flanges that can warp or crack if any significant vertical pressure is put on them, and thin liner top rings that flex greatly and warp when screwed down onto the liner. Other problems were narrow flanges that reduced liner and adhesive contact. In many cases the
mounting holes for the 4” inlets are cut with hole saws and the couplings are loosely fitted with the gaps being speed welded to fill up the loose spaces. All Rhino attachments are machine fit for strength with no need for gap filling. Also the bottoms of many large bore drains are also only 3/16 thick which causes the top cover plate to move around unnecessarily when downward pressure is applied, this also weakens the thin bottom plates integrity. Frequently, many bottoms are simply hand cut plates that fit similarly to the inlets and have to be back filled with large amounts of weld, then ground down to look appealing. And lastly, most other large bore drain builders all weld with a speed welder to save time, and you cannot make a strong structural weld with a speed welder. The only speed for a structural weld is slow. To put it plainly, we must say that the Aquadyne Rhino series is without a doubt the best engineered and most structurally sound large bore bottom drain on the market today.

LEXEL is an extremely dependable adhesive for underwater applications such as drains. A 5 oz. tube of LEXEL IS INCLUDED FREE with each drain. Tubes are resealable and will not harden for many months after opening unlike most silicones.
